Funny CX Magazine Story
Joe Brenan our head of registration jumped into the Men 4's and decided he would be fine on the tires he used last year. He crashed four times slipping all over the place in the mud. When he got settled back at Registration later he picked up one of Cyclocross Magazines we were giving away. Reading the tire review he learned CX Mag noted don't race the tires Joe used on rainy days. CX Mag, the bible of 'Cross?

Team Cyclocrossworld.com-Cannondale Profile
Following its stunning successes in the 2007-08 cyclocross season, Team Cyclocrossworld.com-Cannondale returns for 2008-09 with a beefed up line-up. Defending U.S. Elite National Champion Tim Johnson welcomes back teammate Jeremy Powers from last year’s squad and will relish the addition of young up-and-comer Jamey Driscoll to the fold.
In addition to winning the stars-and-stripes jersey at the Kansas City nationals, Tim Johnson also claimed his third straight New England series title as well as finishing second overall in the USGP series, including two USGP wins. Tim, 31, wrapped up the year with a strong finish at the UCI World Championships in Italy.
Jeremy Powers, 25, put together his strongest season ever in 2007-8, winning numerous UCI events, including one stop of the USGP and the prestigious Grand Prix of Gloucester. Jeremy brings years of international ‘cross experience back to Cyclocrossworld.com-Cannondale and looks to build off his best road season in years.
While only 22, Jamey Driscoll brings a mountain of experience into his first season with Cyclocrossworld.com-Cannondale. Jamey won the Under-23 overall title in the 2007 USGP series, has won three U.S. National Championship jerseys, and represented the U.S. multiple times at the UCI World Championships. An all-rounder with legendary bike handling skills, Jamey expanded his race résumé this summer with a stage win at the Tour of Pennsylvania.
“We’re back after an outstanding year last year that saw us win a lot of races including the big one, the National Championships,” said Cyclocrossworld.com owner and team manager Stu Thorne. “Adding Jamey we look to add to our successes and be an even bigger threat to take out any race we show up at. We’re really looking forward to this year and I think this is our strongest-ever line-up.”
Team Cyclocrossworld.com-Cannondale will open the season at StarCrossed September 20 in Seattle.
Team Cyclorcrossworld.com-Cannondale will use Tim Johnson signature Cannondale frames shod with SRAM Red component groups. The team will roll to the races in a Team Leer Toyota truck and race on Mavic wheels, Control Tech stems, bars, and seatposts, Fizik saddles, SwissStop brake pads, Patagonia casual clothing, Champion Systems race kit, Giro helmets, and DeFeet accessories.
